On June 26th 2012 the Wident clinic hosted Professor Thomas Murry from the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. Professor Murry's visit came in response to the invitation of the Department of Phoniatrics and Voice Rehabilitation of the Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, the Department of Otolaryngology with the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit of the University Hospital No. 2 in Bydgoszcz and the Wident clinic. Professor Murry is a leading specialist in the field of logopedics, dealing with the treatment of patients with impaired breathing rhythm. Professor Murry's lecture entitled "Diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic cough and paradoxical vocal fold movement" was received with great attention by physicians from Bydgoszcz and Poznań. The lecturer also shared his impressions about the conditions of work with the patients in New York, which also received great interest during the post-lecture discussion and reception.
